Being on stage is an important part of my passion and profession. With my experience of being on stage with or for lots of talented choreographers, i feel like i can adjust in many styles.

It's much more than dance

When i am creating, the first step is loving a song and wanting to make a choreo on it. I try to have a different vibe or style for every song, every choreo. Sometimes i work on lyrics, or maybe i just use the beats. But when we mix both, it gets really intricate. ​

Sharing my knowledge

As a teacher i am able to create and to let my students feel my interpretation of a song. It is such a pleasure to see the results on stage. Time after time, i am very proud of my creations. Every show feels better than the one before. So me as a teacher but also my students are still growing in this process. And that feels great.
Art director
After that...it gets to another level

For schoolshows, i work on a subject. That means that after choreographing, i put all my creations together in one show. Several groups participate at once. That generates magnificent transitions. By chosing the right scenery, costumes, make-up and light, i have a story on its own, that fascinates the public, time after time. Therefore, i feel more than a dancer or choreographer. It takes me months of preparation, and days of rehearsals on stage.... I create and i direct, my art.​
Solo or team
Daphne or D-CREW

After founding my own dance team i am able to deliver not only myself as a solo dancer. When needed, i have a selected group of dancers who understand the way i work and who can bring my creation on stage like i would do it. We call ourselves D-CREW.
Perfectionist
Next time, it has to be better

Combining all this is not easy. I have to consider that i have students and their parents, school boards, event managers, my dance team, etc. and they all want the best of myself.
I can only deliver the quality i stand for, if i am very strict, reliable and keen perfectionate myself. Cause what i did was 'very nice' but next time, it has to be 'great'.
